According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, "by extension, the term poster is used to denote a paper panel printed for display as a novelty or as a work of art." In this case, it's nothing more than an excersize, call it my own little special project. It is a creative design outlet for me to take ideas that pop into my head and make them into posters. As a designer I believe it is important to always try to grow, and explore new techiques that enrich your professional work.

Those who know me know that I like old trains and vintage baseball. So it should be no surprise to see a few more posters on these subjects. The On30 Two Truck Shay is train I bring out at Christmas. Last year I took a few photos of it as it chugged around the Christmas tree. The dynamic angle of the photo almost pushes the train down the tracks, even if it is really standing still. The grunge texture technique always adds the aged and weathered look and feel. Christmas is just around the corner. Oh Boy!
